Drafted 12th overall by the Dallas Cowboys in 2021, Parsons quickly became a dominant force. He won Defensive Rookie of the Year and has since been a consistent Pro Bowler and All-Pro. His impact is evident in his numerous sacks, tackles, and forced fumbles.
The Cowboys recently exercised his fifth-year option, ensuring he'll be a key part of their defense for years to come.
COLLEGE
Parsons started out as middle linebacker at Penn State, competing for the defensive end position and quickly became a standout. He led the team in tackles as a freshman and was named Butkus-Fitzgerald Linebacker of the Year as a sophomore and a consensus All-American.
Parsons’ achievements didn’t stop there, he was named the 2019 Cotton Bowl Classic defensive MVP after recording 14 tackles, two sacks, and two forced fumbles.
HIGH SCHOOL
He attended Central Dauphin High School for his freshman and sophomore seasons, then transferred to Harrisburg High School where he started as a defensive end and running back. As a senior, Parsons was a dominant force, rushing for 1,239 yards and 27 touchdowns (tied for ninth in the state), while also contributing as a receiver.
He was also a standout basketball player on varsity. Widely considered an elite prospect, Parsons was ranked #4 by 247Sports and #7 by ESPN.
